ORGANIZING PROJECT PORTFOLIO

Celebrating Decluttering Success!

This busy professional needed help organizing multiple projects for several businesses. After a comprehensive decluttering of the office, storage systems were implemented to keep work materials organized and out of sight when not in use. This new process allows the client to focus on critical tasks at hand.

Laundry Rooms:

Laundry rooms can easily accumulate clutter as they become a dumping ground for all those, “I’ll just put that here for now” items. After purging everything that didn’t belong in the space, this laundry room feels like a breath of fresh air!

Closets:

This client was using a spare closet as the dumping ground for everything she hadn’t made decisions about. Almost everything in this space was donated, recycled, or thrown out—which left plenty of room for special occasion dresses and shoes.

Garages:

We restored order to the main workbench, setup and organized a second workbench at the back of the garage, and created two storage racks for lumber (one is overhead and not pictured). A clean sweep was all that was needed to get this garage back in shape—and ready for cars to park again!

Basements:

These homeowners were tackling 25+ years of accumulation in their home and garage. I was hired to help with tackling the basement, and we removed a LOT of items from the space. I was excited to help my clients reach the point where they could manage the rest of the sorting on their own. This was a big win!

Special Spaces: Homeschooling Room

These parents required a specific area for homeschooling their children. My suggestion was to blend open and closed storage options from IKEA to sort educational materials, art supplies, and other necessities for schoolwork. After decluttering by the window, the clients planned to find chairs for the children’s desk to setup for future use.

Special Spaces: Bibliophile Bookshelves & All Those Books

For this bibliophile, I sorted, moved, and organized hundreds (and hundreds!) of books. I rearranged the shelves to create an aisle, which allowed for more books to be stored in the office on the main floor. Additional shelves were organized in the lower-level office.
